Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager to enhance our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our commercial clients, ensuring their insurance requirements are met with excellence. This position demands a solid understanding of commercial insurance products and the capability to assess and manage risk effectively. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at problem-solving, and possess outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial lines accounts, delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
2. Assess clients' insurance needs and propose suitable coverage options, considering potential risks and the clients' business goals.
3. Create and present proposals to clients, clearly articulating coverage details and the advantages of the recommended insurance solutions.
4. Handle policy renewals, endorsements, and certificates promptly and accurately.
5. Address complex policy issues, offering guidance and support to clients to help them comprehend their policy terms and conditions.
6. Collaborate with underwriters and other insurance professionals to secure optimal coverage for clients.
7. Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor in their business.
8. Stay informed about developments in the commercial insurance sector, including regulatory updates, new products, and emerging risks.

Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management, particularly in property and casualty insurance.
2. In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, including policy analysis and risk management.
3. Excellent customer service abilities, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly.
5. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in insurance software and technology.
7. Valid insurance license, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
8. Additional certifications such as Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) are advantageous.
