Key Responsibilities- Counsel on the development and implementation of innovative commercial strategies for Johnson & Johnson MedTech's products, services, and solutions across the U.S. customer channels.
- Advise senior leadership and counsel all levels of the organization focusing on commercial transactions and interactions with healthcare providers, group purchasing organizations, payers, and other customers.
- Collaborate closely with pricing strategy, contracting, account management, sales, marketing, finance, and other functions to facilitate effective engagement with customers.
- Provide legal counsel and support related to fraud and abuse laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and associated safe harbors, OIG guidance, and state laws.
- Develop and deliver training for clients on various healthcare compliance topics related to commercial programs and interactions with commercial customers.
- Engage in key policy and regulatory issues impacting our customer relationships and business strategies to ensure our support is innovative, agile, and adapts to an evolving environment.
- Admission to and current good standing with the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with relevant experience advising on healthcare matters in the life sciences or medical technology industry, either in-house or at a law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior leaders to proactively shape and advance key business strategies and priorities.
- Strong transactional skills with experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts related to product sales, distribution, technology, and capital equipment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and simplifying complicated issues.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically to develop creative, practical, and compliant solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Highly collaborative in a fast-paced, team-based, matrix environment.
This position will be located in Raritan, NJ, Raynham, MA, Cincinnati, OH, or Santa Clara, CA, and may require some limited domestic travel. The base pay range for this position is $142,000-$244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal, and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
