Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist I to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time position requires open availability and travel to all locations as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to patients and families in accordance with Nemours Standards of Behaviors
  • Perform registration functions accurately and efficiently
  • Meet or exceed collection standards by verifying insurance benefits and determining financial responsibility
  • Verify and update demographics, insurance information, and other relevant details for each encounter
  • Collect patient responsibility amounts due for services rendered and adhere to end-of-day business processing standards
  • Properly identify patients, update demographics information, and secure required forms to ensure compliance with regulatory and NCH policies
  • Register bedside admissions and perform pre-registration workflow as assigned
  • Resolve patient accounts and clear workqueues to ensure accuracy
  • Support the Patient Financial Services department as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Healthcare experience and customer service experience preferred
  • Medical Office/Call Center experience
  • Ability to travel to other locations as scheduled
