Job Summary

Vertin Company is seeking a highly skilled Regional Director to lead our funeral and cemetery operations within an assigned region. This role is critical to our team's success, requiring a strong leader who can oversee and improve day-to-day operations, optimize customer value, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee and continuously improve the day-to-day operations of funeral and cemetery services, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction and value.
  • Leadership and Management: Manage employee performance, using established metrics and expectations, to ensure timely feedback and address performance problems promptly.
  • Financial Management: Hold staff accountable for metrics, performance goals, reporting, and budgets, ensuring the implementation of the Vertin Business System to meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Employee Engagement: Ensure engagement, satisfaction, and alignment of employees to effectively meet strategic objectives and initiatives.
  • Communication and Presentation: Communicate and present information to influence behavior, stimulate innovation, promote best practices, and drive organizational change.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and positive benefit to local families through programs and services to meet customer expectations.
  • Market Analysis: Identify marketable opportunities, such as differentiated service experiences, personal staff highlights, and community events.
  • Operational Budgeting: Meet or exceed established operational budget.
  • Performance Appraisal: Appraise regions operating results in terms of costs, budget, management processes, trends, and increased profit opportunities.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 7-10 years of experience in previous leadership roles.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university, plus five or more years related experience and/or training within a professional setting, where direct oversight/management of others was required in achieving common company goals.
  • Travel Requirements: 75% travel is required.
  • Skills: Proven skills in leadership, coaching, and decision-making skills, strong understanding of financial management, analysis, and reporting, and strong conflict resolution skills.
