About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Executive Director Assistant to join our team at Azura Memory Care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative and Operations Management
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director to oversee the daily operations of the facility, including staff management and resident care.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports, including staff schedules, resident information, and facility maintenance.
    • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to all state and company regulations.
  • Program and Service Implementation
    • Develop and implement person-centered care programs to enhance the quality of life for our residents, including the MOSAIC quality of life program.
    • Collaborate with the regional nurse and Director of Nursing to ensure resident medical needs are met and best practices are being followed.
    • Conduct behavior calls with the nurse/compliance to ensure resident needs are being met.
    • Ensure a daily activity program is designed to meet individual resident needs.
    • Ensure meal service is delivered to meet individual resident needs.
  • Assessment and Care Planning
    • Perform assessments of potential residents to ensure they meet our admissions criteria.
    • Admit and discharge residents according to admissions criteria, responding to inquiries from potential residents and processing applications.
    • Oversee the admission process, including agreement, rate setting, and communication with family, health, and other providers.
    • Complete individual care plans for each resident with the interdisciplinary team and ensure service delivery according to individual resident needs.
  • Family Support
    • Work with families to maintain a strong relationship with their relative residing in the home.
    • Assist family members in understanding the frailties of age, Alzheimer's disease, and related dementias.
    • Participate in problem-complaint resolution to attain satisfaction for residents and families.
  • Personnel Management
    • Lead by example, encouraging teamwork and promoting the MOSAIC philosophy.
    • Respond to on-the-job injuries in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Perform coaching and disciplinary discussions with staff as needed.
    • Maintain the established staffing model and staff-to-resident ratios.
    • Maintain the master staffing schedule and find replacements for staff call-ins.
  • Marketing
    • Respond to inquiries from potential residents during the absence of the Administrator.
    • Ensure a positive image of the residence.
    • Promote the residence in the community through an active referral network.
    • Conduct events to showcase the residence and its program.
Requirements
  • Education
    • A bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in assisted living or long-term care.
  • Experience
    • Demonstrated understanding of older adults and the issues, diseases, and needs related to aging.
    • Demonstrated marketing and networking skills to help meet occupancy goals.
    • One year of experience in a management position preferred.
    • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
    • Computer skills, including time and attendance, Microsoft Word, email, etc.
