About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our team at Buddys Home Furnishing. As a key member of our store operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Acquire and maintain customers by providing exceptional customer service and promoting timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments.
  • Store Operations Management: Assist in managing store personnel, direct activities of one or more employees, and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Decipher, prepare, and review store reports, document all customer commitments, and ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied.
  • Inventory and Cash Management: Manage customer accounts, inventory, and cash assets, and prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, and assign tasks.
  • Marketing and Quality Control: Follow monthly marketing plans, maintain internal quality control standards, and ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied.
Requirements
  • Effective Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Established Collection Skills: Proven experience in collections, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Good Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
  • Education and Experience: Two years' experience in Rent-to-Own, retail, or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to lift, load, move, and use a dolly for merchandise pounds.
  • Standing and Driving: Prolonged standing and driving, with the ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics.
