As an Assistant Community Manager, you will play a key role in assisting the Community Manager in all phases of property operation, including general administration, leasing, and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include performing recertification interviews, tracking rental inquiries, and maintaining knowledge of procedures for Accounts Payable and Receivables. You will also assist with marketing campaigns, prepare lease agreements, and coordinate with property messaging services. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform recertification interviews with residents, complete paperwork, and submit to the corporate office.
  • Track rental inquiries from referrals, walk-ins, and phone contacts.
  • Accept, date/time stamp, and log all applications for unit rental.
  • Show vacant units, market property amenities, and maintain knowledge of all procedures for Accounts Payable and Receivables.
  • Assist the Community Manager with collections efforts, filing court documents for eviction, and attending court hearings.
  • Execute marketing campaigns for leasing of rental units, including promotion, tours of property, and rental units.
  • Prepare, process, and modify lease agreements and related forms.
  • Maintain knowledge of competition and market conditions affecting leasing and operations and make adjustments to the business and marketing models to ensure the Company remains competitive and in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
  • Coordinate with property messaging services to retrieve messages and follow-up with calls if necessary.
  • Remain current with all applicable laws and regulations relating to residential rental properties and maintain knowledge of current company processes and procedures.
  • Assist the Community Manager with ordering office supplies for the property when necessary.
  • Initiate, track, and close work orders utilizing systems for the property.
  • Assist the Community Manager with other tasks and duties as required.
Qualifications
  • One or more years' experience with residential real estate management.
  • Tax Credit, Section 8, and/or Public Housing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of college preferred.
  • After hiring, will complete all company required certification training and testing.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Community Manager will work primarily in an office environment but will need to meet residents in their units, show units to potential residents, walk around to inspect the property, often in a multi-story facility including climbing stairs. May work around cleaning solvents, paint fumes, and landscaping chemicals. Evening and weekend work may be required.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
