Position Summary: The Parts Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of the Parts Department, ensuring adherence to established protocols and achieving both growth and profitability targets. This role involves strategic planning, directing operations, and evaluating departmental performance to meet set objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and future requirements, trends, challenges, and profit opportunities within the Parts Department.
  • Set both short-term and long-term operational and financial goals for the department, aligning with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Ensure that established policies and objectives are clearly communicated and effectively implemented within the team.
  • Develop annual and monthly sales and profit targets, along with expense budgets, in line with corporate objectives.
  • Review departmental activities and performance regularly, taking necessary actions to address any discrepancies.
  • Create merchandising strategies to achieve departmental goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all departments within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Foster positive customer relations through effective policies and practices.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, competitive activities, and departmental operations, keeping management updated.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to drive sales and performance.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for parts department staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Safety Considerations: This role is classified as safety-sensitive. Employees in this position must not perform duties under the influence of any illegal substances, as it poses a risk to health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a parts department, with a focus on both inside and outside sales.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of parts department operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to commit to additional hours as required.
