Job Overview

Speedway Motors Inc. is seeking a skilled Laser/Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a key member of our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming CNC lasers and press brakes to fabricate parts with high precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC lasers and press brakes to cut and bend metal parts to precise specifications.
  • Set up and program machines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, using precision measuring tools.
  • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies in materials and finished products.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and minor repairs on machines to maintain optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage, and machine settings.
  • Report production data, including quantities, quality issues, and downtime, to the Welding Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in technology or fabrication preferred with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Knowledgeable in reading blueprints, able to read technical manuals, weld symbols, and various documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
