Position Overview:


We are in search of an Animal Care Technician to enhance our dedicated team and deliver outstanding care to our patients. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced veterinary assistants, support our licensed veterinary technicians, and assist veterinarians in the daily operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
- Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians during appointments, prepare animals for surgical procedures, and provide surgical assistance while ensuring a smooth workflow for diagnostic tests.

- Safely and compassionately restrain animals during examinations and treatments.

- Accurately record vital signs, gather medical histories, and report any changes in the animal's condition to the veterinarian.

- Collect and prepare laboratory samples, including fecal, urine, and ear cytologies.

- Maintain and care for all medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical instruments, and anesthesia devices essential for daily operations.

- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and inquiries.

Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.

- Familiarity with medical procedures and animal handling techniques.

- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
