Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Quality Control: Conduct regular product reviews to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
  2. Quality Checks: Accurately conduct quality checks on product and regulatory checks as specified within company programs and USDA regulations.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to start up and record findings.
  4. Associate Supervision: Monitor associates' work practices and address any deficiencies noticed immediately.
Requirements
  • Education: High school or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food Quality and Safety Experience: Previous experience in food quality and/or safety is highly preferred.
Work Environment

As a Food Safety Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and occasional exposure to dust, feathers, and chemicals used in poultry processing. You must be able to stand for several hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
