We are seeking a skilled Food Service Associate to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a Food Service Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve food to cafeteria customers and maintain knowledge of foods served and ingredients to answer customer questions
  • Set up and work an assigned position on tray line or cafeteria area
  • Prepare food items for cafeteria and label appropriately
  • Maintain food at correct temperature for serving and keep accurate records
  • Work to maintain a clean kitchen and handle food items according to procedures
  • Clean floors, carts, dishware, bus tables and take out trash and operate dishwashing machines
  • Follow standards for infection control in personal hygiene, and food handling
  • Work as a cafeteria cashier, run the cash register and efficiently handle cash and card transactions

Requirements

  • Food Handlers Permit, or Food Safety Certification must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
