About the Role:
PSSI is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Food Safety Team as a Sanitation Technician. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in protecting the nation's food supply by ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protect the nation's food supply during every shift by adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols.
- Work with and around PSSI-issued sanitation chemicals, ensuring proper handling and application.
- Clean and sanitize plants, equipment, and facilities, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, and pulling of sanitation equipment, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Understand and comply with all food safety and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull sanitation equipment, as well as stand for long periods of time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in sanitation or a related field preferred.
