Job Description

As an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Landus' Safety program. This role will not only enhance your portfolio but also allow you to apply your classroom skills in real-world scenarios while collaborating with multiple business units.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Complete an EHSQ program review to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Perform safety training review to ensure employees are properly trained on safety procedures
  • Assist in developing and rolling out a QMS program to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Develop and monitor Risk Management Program and Tier II reports to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Assist with Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies
  • Assist with Site Security Plans to ensure the safety and security of employees and assets
  • Analyze ways to improve the safety program to reduce accidents and injuries
  • Assist in training and development of new training programs to ensure employees are properly trained on safety procedures
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license
Work Environment
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to prod, handle, feel, or reach
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to focus vision
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
