Job Summary

The University of South Alabama's USA Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Associate Director, Providence Foundation. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the foundation's mission of advancing USA Health Providence Hospital by contributing to the strategic planning process, overseeing donor relations, and managing the successful execution of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Operations
    • Manage and guide the day-to-day operations of the Providence Foundation, including board management, volunteer committees, fundraising events, and collaboration with major gift efforts.
    • Contribute to the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the foundation's mission and goals.
  • Donor Relations and Fundraising
    • Oversee donor relations, ensuring a cohesive approach to donor engagement and stewardship.
    • Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including event planning and management, to maximize revenue generation.
  • Board and Committee Management
    • Serve as the liaison to the Providence Foundation Board, overseeing volunteer committees and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Event Planning and Management
    • Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of fundraising events, ensuring alignment with the foundation's mission and donor interests.
    • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while achieving fundraising goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with the Director of Major Gifts and other Development leadership to integrate major gift strategies into the foundation's initiatives.
  • Performance Evaluation and Reporting
    • Monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives, providing regular reports to the AVP of Medical Affairs Development.
    • Supervise the Foundation Events and Annual Giving Manager, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience
    • Five years of related professional experience, preferably in a higher education setting or healthcare fundraising.
  • Skills
    • Strong strategic planning and operations skills.
    • Excellent donor relations and fundraising skills.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
