Role Summary:
The Patient Services Associate I plays a crucial role in optimizing the patient journey by professionally managing arrival and departure processes within our outpatient practices. This position is primarily situated at the front desk, where the associate will verify insurance details, referrals, and patient demographic information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, including point-of-service activities and appointment scheduling using the EPIC system.
- Provide a warm and professional greeting to patients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone.
- Ensure a smooth operational flow within the practice, addressing patient and provider concerns as necessary.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information while adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles within healthcare is preferred.
Additional Information:
