Your Responsibilities:

The Senior Quality Inspector plays a dual role, focusing on the inspection and assurance of quality for radiators and other heat transfer devices, while also executing repair services both internally and at client locations. This position merges technical inspection abilities with practical repair skills, necessitating travel to various client sites for offsite service.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Quality Assurance:
    • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards.
    • Utilize various inspection instruments to assess and confirm product dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
    • Interpret blueprints, engineering schematics, and welding symbols to ensure compliance with design specifications.
    • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and meticulously document inspection outcomes.
    • Review and validate material certifications, ensuring compliance with necessary specifications.
    • Coordinate the calibration of gauges and other measurement devices as required.
    • Identify non-conformities, document findings, and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective measures.
    • Engage in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Repair Services:
    • Diagnose and repair radiators, addressing issues such as leaks, corrosion, and blockages.
    • Execute soldering, welding, and component replacement to restore radiator functionality.
    • Clean and flush radiators to eliminate debris and enhance performance.
    • Test repaired radiators to confirm they are leak-free and operating correctly.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, services, and repairs conducted.
    • Advise clients on radiator maintenance and replacement options.
  • Field Service:
    • Travel to client locations to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on radiators and heat transfer equipment.
    • Ensure all work conducted at client sites adheres to safety and quality standards.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of the work performed and any recommendations.
    • Fulfill all assigned duties as required.
  • Qualifications:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent, with technical certification in quality inspection, automotive, or HVAC preferred.
    • Experience in quality inspection, radiator repair, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
    • Willingness to travel to client sites for offsite service.
    • Excellent communication skills and professionalism in client interactions.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for inspection and repair work.
    • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance.
    • Extensive understanding of quality assurance methodologies and processes.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
