Position Summary:
We are looking for a proficient Acquisition Analyst to facilitate acquisition processes for our government clientele, ensuring adherence to established regulations while enhancing procurement methodologies. The successful candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition policies and a proven history of managing intricate acquisition initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert analysis and support in formulating and executing Army/DoD acquisition strategies, plans, and programs.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of acquisition needs, including market analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of documentation necessary for Contract Requirements Packages (CRP), which encompasses market research, commerciality assessments, and the development of Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Justifications and Approvals (J&A).
- Facilitate the creation and coordination of Data Requirements, including Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs) and Document Summary Lists (DSLs).
- Establish and monitor milestone schedules in alignment with Procurement Acquisition Lead Times (PALT) objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations regarding DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations, including federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Track and report on the progress of acquisition projects, offering regular updates and suggestions to senior management.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including program managers and contracting officers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay informed on changes in acquisition policies and best practices, providing training and guidance to team members as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management to support the organization's overall mission and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD acquisition, procurement, or contract management.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to perform detailed assessments of acquisition requirements and develop viable solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion, with the capability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Must possess an in-scope Secret security clearance.
