Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively reviewing client renewal accounts to ensure updated coverage and competitive rates
  • Exhibiting active listening, rapport building, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving when interacting with clients
  • Developing and presenting customized insurance proposals based on client needs
  • Conducting professional consultations with clients regarding their service requirements
  • Identifying additional needs during client discussions to connect with other departments for assistance (e.g., Life, Benefits, Business)
  • Recognizing claims situations and addressing them with empathy, urgency, and solution-focused problem-solving
  • Maintaining awareness of workflow and ensuring compliance with agency procedures
  • Regularly updating job-specific knowledge and applying it in practice
  • Adhering to policies and procedures for sales, documentation, and follow-up processes
  • Work Schedule: Minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional night/weekend work required
  • Life License is a plus

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Personal Lines Insurance role. Preference for experience in an Independent Agency. Candidates with less than 5 years are encouraged to apply—our focus is on finding the right team member.
  • Valid Property & Casualty License
  • High school diploma; BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Applied Epic is advantageous
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance, agency operations, coverages, rates, markets, and relevant insurance laws/codes/regulations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—self-motivated, proactive, capable of multitasking, organized, with emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Friendly, positive, helpful, client-focused, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and positivity in a fast-paced environment
