Job Title: Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at Complete Staffing Solutions.

Job Summary:

The Medical Coding Specialist will be responsible for researching and resolving variance analysis between third party payer contracts and actual payments, as well as comprehending and interpreting all third party contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the CCHP Mission to attain excellence in the provision of healthcare services by consistently fulfilling the commitment to quality, and by compassionately and skillfully delivering continuously improving total patient centered service.
  • Operate the contract management system.
  • Provide hospital liaison services with all third party system related issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of Fee Schedule Matrix as contracts are renegotiated.
  • Demonstrate advanced computer and analytical skills (Excel, Kreg, Meditech).
  • Have extensive background in all third party regulations and payment mechanisms.
  • Provide third party lead coordinators with updates on contract management issues.
  • Have extensive familiarity with third party billing forms.
  • Prepare financial reports and quarterly contract management reports.
  • Provide lead coordinators with procedure updates.
  • Represent the department to third parties and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills required for contract management analysis (i.e. variance analysis, reject files, tracking recoveries).
  • Have technical knowledge of CPT-4 coding regulations, DRG's, UB-92, Revenue Codes, and HCFA 1500's.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive computer experience and knowledge of third party regulations and billing forms.
