About this position:
This role is for a Senior Content Strategy Lead within Consumer Digital Channels.


The Wells Fargo Experience Design (XD) team curates experiences that resonate with users, encouraging them to engage confidently to enhance their financial well-being.

We collaborate closely with Technology and Product Management to ensure our approach is driven by problem-solving rather than merely providing solutions, always keeping the customer at the forefront.

While we possess individual expertise across product design, research, content strategy, and design operations, we function collectively as empowered leaders with a robust design rationale.

As a cohesive unit, we value one another, believe in open communication, enjoy our work, and are dedicated to understanding what matters most to our 30+ million customers, integrating their feedback into every decision.


The Senior Content Strategy Lead will oversee content design and user experiences across our offerings, contributing to the overall strategy, planning, product vision, and frameworks in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering Leadership to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.


In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement customer experience solutions for online platforms and websites

• Create sophisticated, industry-leading user interface design solutions

• Guide teams of customer experience professionals during the execution of interaction design strategies

• Direct the strategy and resolution of complex challenges across various domains of Content Design or the enterprise, delivering long-term, large-scale, and impactful solutions that require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical thinking, and coordination of intricate activities

• Provide strategic leadership and industry insight regarding enterprise-wide Content Design strategies that significantly affect the organization's business and financial operations

• Lead professionals and managers at all levels across the enterprise; serve as an expert advisor to Content Design leadership; represent the company externally at industry networking and technical events

Key Responsibilities:
• Craft compelling narratives for a complex and deeply personal domain - experience in financial institutions is not mandatory

• Utilize research data to develop solutions that align user needs with business objectives

• Be an effective presenter, capable of advocating for ideas, building coalitions, and garnering support

• Uphold best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style


• Provide a content design perspective throughout the product development lifecycle, influencing strategic decisions to enhance the overall experience and ensure consistency.


Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in Graphic or Website Design, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education

• Ability to think at a systems level to simplify complexity into user-friendly experiences

• Enjoy collaborating across diverse functions

• Passionate about content design and attentive to detail

• Bring clarity to teams through design and product best practices

• Represent content design as a role that influences the entire product, extending beyond mere text

Job Expectations:
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

This position follows a hybrid work model and will not be a telecommute role. Candidates must be willing to work on-site approximately three days a week.
