Job Summary

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of medical equipment in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and electrical safety inspections on medical equipment to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Manage equipment inventory and schedule service as needed.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Respond to equipment-related issues and concerns from clinical staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Research and procure repair parts as needed, working within budget parameters.
  • Provide training and support to equipment users and Crothall staff as requested.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop service strategies and improve equipment performance.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Document all significant equipment-related actions and participate in department meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience servicing medical equipment in a hospital environment.
  • Valid driver's license for field service positions.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications for tracking service histories and producing reports.
  • Good trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-call duty as required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team member.
