Biomedical Equipment Specialist

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of medical equipment in our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and electrical safety inspections on medical equipment to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Manage equipment inventory and schedule service as needed.
- Develop and maintain procedures for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Respond to equipment-related issues and concerns from clinical staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Research and procure repair parts as needed, working within budget parameters.
- Provide training and support to equipment users and Crothall staff as requested.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop service strategies and improve equipment performance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Document all significant equipment-related actions and participate in department meetings.
- Associate's degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience servicing medical equipment in a hospital environment.
- Valid driver's license for field service positions.
- Ability to work independently with some supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of computer applications for tracking service histories and producing reports.
- Good trouble-shooting skills.
- Ability and willingness to work on-call duty as required.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team member.
