Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and services to our residents by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
  • Review and update medication records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure seamless medication management.
  • Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and medication-related concerns.
  • Develop and maintain Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/British Columbia Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements.
  • Participate in training and education programs to maintain certifications and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; certifications in CPR and First Aid a plus.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
