Wells Fargo is looking for a Selection Specialist to be part of the Selection & Assessment (S&A) team. This team is dedicated to providing expert guidance and top-tier tools and methodologies to assist Managers and Recruiters in identifying high-caliber talent while ensuring compliance and minimizing risks in the hiring process. You will collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and various business leaders throughout the organization to design and validate an array of selection instruments and support extensive selection initiatives, including the online assessment program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter authority on selection methodologies and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of S&A team strategies and service delivery.
  • Design and validate diverse selection instruments.
  • Consult with recruiters and business leaders to support selection activities and contribute to large-scale planning related to functional area objectives.
  • Examine and evaluate moderately complex operational challenges requiring thorough analysis of multiple factors.
  • Develop and validate tailored selection tools and processes, and assist in the creation of tools and processes by external vendors.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing selection processes and spearhead improvement initiatives.
  • Create processes and materials for recruiters and managers to enhance their use of selection tools and techniques.
  • Provide expertise on assessment policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues while ensuring project deliverables are met, leveraging a solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance mandates.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to address challenges and achieve objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in selection processes, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing and validating selection tools and processes.
  • Experience advising on selection and assessment policies and best practices with peers, leaders, and business partners.
  • Experience in a consulting firm or a highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience in evaluating vendor-provided services.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, as well as AA/EEO recruiting and hiring policies.
  • Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and evaluating statistical analyses and technical documentation related to assessment tools.
  • Experience with large-scale selection and assessment initiatives.
  • Advanced degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology is preferred.
Job Expectations:
  • This position requires onsite presence in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
