Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration: Greet patients and visitors, register and collect necessary information for a smooth check-in process.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, follow-up appointments, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely services.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations prior to appointments.
- Financial Transactions: Collect time-of-service and past-due payments, settle cash drawers, and respond to financial inquiries.
- Communication: Answer patient phone calls, respond to patient portal messages and voicemails, and ensure warm transfers of calls.
- Registration and Onboarding: Initiate registration of new patients in EPIC, assist with training and onboarding of new staff, and provide cross-coverage as directed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency, with associates degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in EPIC or other EHR systems, and knowledge of insurance verification and authorizations.
