Job Title: Advanced Clinical Social Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team at the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. As an Advanced Clinical Social Worker, you will provide trauma-informed, recovery-focused care to clients aged 25 and under in our Danbury Young Adult Services program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services to young adults with complex needs, including psychotic disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, substance abuse, autism spectrum disorders, and medical fragility.
  • Develop comprehensive service plans, including measurable treatment objectives, and provide individual, family, and group treatment.
  • Collaborate with other mental health providers to improve delivery of services and identify unmet needs within the current service system.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Master Social Workers and assist in resolution of administrative, personnel, and clinical issues in the program and/or agency.

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed clinical social worker.
  • Experience providing trauma-informed care and support to complex clients with significant mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to integrate theory and case material in assessing and devising comprehensive treatment and/or service plans for difficult and/or complex case assignments.
