Job OverviewPosition: Commercial Lines Account Manager | Marketing Specialist
Location: Baytown, TX areas
Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 plus benefits

Role Summary:
The Marketing Specialist is essential in assisting commercial agents by managing the placement of new and renewal accounts across various coverage lines. This role necessitates direct engagement with underwriters and brokers, representing the agency throughout the process of obtaining optimal coverage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiation of Coverage Terms: Effectively negotiate premiums and terms to secure advantageous conditions for all coverage levels.
  • Policy Rating and Quotation: Employ carrier websites and rating tools to perform all necessary ratings for policy quotations and issuance. Manually calculate premiums when required.
  • Coverage Evaluation: Conduct thorough comparisons of quote terms, conditions, and premiums, considering changes in exposure.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and lead both internal and external meetings as necessary, including renewal strategy discussions with agents and customer service representatives.
  • Information Management: Efficiently collect all necessary information throughout the marketing process to ensure accurate quotes and terms.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in seminars and training sessions to maintain licensure and enhance professional knowledge. Interact with company representatives to stay informed on carrier appetites and underwriting guidelines.
  • Issue Management: Professionally address carrier and coverage issues, ensuring favorable outcomes for all parties involved.

Additional Duties:
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team and improve service delivery.
  • Specific performance objectives will be established annually to assess the effectiveness of the role.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Property and Casualty Broker/Agent License.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in commercial property and casualty.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Preferred: CISR or other relevant insurance designations.
