Role Summary:
The Marketing Specialist is essential in assisting commercial agents by managing the placement of new and renewal business across various coverage lines. This role involves direct engagement with underwriters and brokers, effectively representing the agency in the pursuit of optimal coverage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate Coverage Terms: Expertly negotiate premiums and conditions to achieve advantageous terms for all coverage levels.
  • Policy Rating and Quotation: Employ carrier platforms and rating tools to execute all necessary ratings for policy quotations and issuance, including manual premium calculations when required.
  • Coverage Analysis: Perform thorough evaluations of quote terms, conditions, and premiums, considering any changes in exposure.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate both internal and external meetings as needed, including strategy sessions for renewals with agents and customer service representatives.
  • Information Management: Collect all essential information throughout the marketing process to ensure accurate quotes and terms.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in seminars and training sessions to maintain licensure and enhance industry knowledge. Interact with company representatives to stay informed on carrier appetites and underwriting guidelines.
  • Issue Management: Professionally address carrier and coverage challenges, ensuring favorable resolutions for all stakeholders.

Additional Duties:
  • Carry out other responsibilities as needed to support the team and improve service delivery.
  • Annual performance objectives will be established to assess the effectiveness of the role.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Property and Casualty Broker/Agent License.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in commercial property and casualty.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: CISR or other relevant insurance certifications.
