Job Title: OCVA Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team at the Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of programs and services for crime victims across the state.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development of funding applications and track the status of applications submitted.
  • Review applications to verify they are complete, follow up with applicants on any questions or issues.
  • Prepare, review, and route grant documents, including an approved budget and scope of work.
  • Monitor grants to ensure the work plan and budget are on track, including reviewing and approving invoices, reviewing and analyzing service and activity data, and conducting formal site visits and monitoring reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to grantees and partners, including information and resources on grant compliance and victim service best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience in community, trade, or economic development with a focus in management or delivery of services and/or administration of crime victims services/assistance or related field.
  • One year of experience working for or in partnership with organizations based in marginalized or underserved communities and Native American tribes.
  • Experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) competencies, including DEI knowledge, understanding, and commitment, self-awareness and commitment to growth, cultivating mutually beneficial and trusting strategic partnerships, inclusive excellence and allyship, and measuring for success and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with grants to community-based and criminal justice organizations assisting crime victims and/or experience in contracting public funds to community agencies.
  • Experience interpreting and applying detailed policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet budget, grant, and reporting deadlines with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to develop, organize, and conduct application and contracting processes, including writing and negotiating performance-based grants.
  • Demonstrated high-level of interpersonal communication skills with both grantees and colleagues, including clear oral and written communication, being collaborative, and building and maintaining relationships.
