About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Complete assigned work orders, diagnose and repair defects, and ensure routine upkeep of the property.
  • Prepare Vacant Units: Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
  • Manage Inventory: Track inventory used, return unused items, and notify the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
  • Document and Report: Complete documentation and other paperwork timely and accurately to ensure service requests are properly documented and tracked.
  • Support Grounds and Amenities: Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities, including picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways, and pool areas.
  • Comply with Safety Policies: Attend and participate in safety meetings, complete required training, and report accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Treat residents and others with respect, answer resident questions, respond sensitively to complaints, and complete assigned work orders with efficiency and urgency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in property management maintenance or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills, ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, and ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
Physical Requirements

This is a position which requires the Maintenance Technician to frequently walk, stand and climb stairs in/around apartment homes, models, and properties. Must also have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
