Key Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Complete an apprenticeship and hold relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a quick learning ability and initiative in problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with an experienced technician to acquire essential skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on electrical assets.
  • Work towards obtaining a Licence to Operate Qualification for managing water treatment assets and processes.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Wiring, installing, maintaining, and controlling a wide range of electrical equipment for water treatment and distribution.
  • Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical instruments to ensure water quality compliance.
  • Proactively analyzing asset performance and executing electrical interventions.
  • Overseeing and assisting electrical framework contractors and internal teams focused on high voltage, optimization, and automation.
  • Utilizing electrical schematics and expertise to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinating with team members to address technical challenges and maintain water supply.

Standby and Overtime:

A flexible approach to working hours is essential, as participation in a standby rota is required. Standby duties typically involve one day per week, with additional compensation for availability. In the event of a call-out, overtime payments will apply, with rates of time and a half for work before midnight and double time for work after midnight.
