On-Site IT Systems Administrator

The IT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting Microsoft server and network technologies while providing advanced Tier 3 support. This position encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring optimal network performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Network Monitoring: Oversee network performance, diagnose root-cause issues, and implement resolutions.
- Technical Support: Deliver server, network, and desktop/application support to clients and collaborate with team members.
- Project Assistance: Contribute to specific client projects as needed.
- Microsoft Technologies: Support and manage Microsoft Windows server and network technologies.
- Environment Management: Troubleshoot and maintain both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Network Configuration: Maintain network settings and resolve performance issues, including internet bandwidth and firewall/router challenges.
- Server Performance: Monitor Windows server and applications, identify issues, and implement solutions.
- Desktop Support: Provide Tier 3 support for desktop and application issues, including line of business and hosted applications.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical and training documentation.
- Project Management: Organize and execute desktop projects, typically ranging from one day to two weeks.
A successful candidate for the Systems Administrator role will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience supporting current Windows server and desktop technologies, as well as client/server applications in a Windows-based network environment, including:
- Microsoft Windows Server (latest version) and Exchange Server (or equivalent enterprise mail systems).
- Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Proficiency with all current Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems.
- Experience with VDI technologies such as XenApp/RDS.
- Familiarity with LAN and WAN technologies and firewalls, including but not limited to:
- Cisco
- Meraki
- Fortinet
- Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Exchange maintenance and support.
- Microsoft Certified Professional Status (MCSE or MCITP) is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- A valid driver's license and insurance, with reliable transportation for occasional travel.
- Willingness to accommodate after-hours and weekend needs for clients and team members.
