**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Department Associate - Merchandising and Operations to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Create a Positive Customer Experience**: Engage and interact with all customers to ensure an excellent shopping experience.
  • **Promote a Culture of Honesty and Integrity**: Maintain confidentiality and promote a culture of honesty and integrity within the team.
  • **Orchestrate Truck Delivery and Merchandise Processing**: Prioritize the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
  • **Train and Mentor Associates**: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
  • **Ensure Merchandise is Properly Tagged and Hung**: Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • **Communicate with Coordinator on Duty**: Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
  • **Monitor Productivity and Coach as Necessary**: Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary to ensure tasks and activities are completed according to store plan.
  • **Organize and Rotate Back Stock**: Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
  • **Maintain Merchandising Philosophy and Signage Standards**: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
  • **Maintain Backroom Area**: Maintain all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • **Ensure Compliance with Recycling and Hazardous Waste Programs**: Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
  • **Communicate Effectively with Management and Associates**: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities.
  • **Provide and Accept Recognition and Constructive Feedback**: Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • **Partner with Management on Associate Training Needs**: Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • **Ensure Adherence to Labor Laws, Policies, and Procedures**: Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • **Promote Credit and Loyalty Programs**: Promote credit and loyalty programs.
