Udelhoven Companies manages a fleet of Q400 aircraft designed to transport personnel to remote operational sites. The organization also utilizes Twin Otter and CASA aircraft for logistical support between various locations. We are currently in search of a dedicated Aviation Support Specialist to enhance our flight and passenger services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a range of tasks at the airport, ensuring high-quality service and customer interaction.
  • Respond to inquiries about flight schedules and assist passengers with check-in processes.
  • Guide passengers to the appropriate boarding areas and ensure timely flight departures.
  • Adhere to Federal Aviation Administration regulations and enforce safety protocols.
  • Utilize basic skills and procedures relevant to the assigned functional area.

Additional Duties May Include:

  • Collaborate with travel coordinators to fulfill the travel requirements of personnel in support of operations.
  • Handle phone communications while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Disseminate flight information to relevant teams including flight crews and ground support.
  • Monitor flight operations and provide updates on weather and runway conditions.
  • Adapt to changing operational scenarios caused by weather or mechanical challenges.
  • Inform operations and maintenance teams about any irregularities in flight schedules.
  • Compile operational reports as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule may vary, with three shifts available. The contingent worker should be prepared to work any of these shifts. Regular hours are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Overtime may be necessary, and duties may extend into holiday periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience level, generally 3-5 years.
  • Progressing towards full competency in the role.
  • Possesses a general understanding of the relevant field.
  • Identifies issues and formulates potential solutions.
  • Decision-making within established guidelines.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an administrative, customer service, or clerical position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with iLogistics or SABRE reservation systems.
  • Experience in aircraft flight following or possession of an FAA Dispatch license.
  • Previous experience in the North Slope region and understanding of local terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to interpret and apply standard operating procedures.
  • High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to results.
  • Actively seeks diverse perspectives to achieve business objectives.
