About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate licensed special education teacher to join our team at KIPP Memphis Public Schools. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and contribute to our mission of creating joyful, academically excellent schools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
  • Provide research-based specialized instruction to meet instructional goals and objectives.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed.
  • Collaborate with child study team members to develop instructional goals and strategies.
  • Plan a program of study and unit/weekly/daily lessons that align with the school's curriculum and meet individual student needs.

Requirements

  • Tennessee state licensure and certification with endorsement matching subject area & grade band.
  • Experience working with children with special needs and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong commitment to working with educationally underserved students.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
