Job Summary:

As a Regional Chain Manager at Gordon Food Service, you will be responsible for managing and developing business relationships with profitable regional multi-unit chain customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the food service industry and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and executives of accounts and prospective accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the development of new and existing multi-unit business within assigned region
Define project scope and assume ownership of all prime vendor presentations
Collaborate with key decision-makers and executives of accounts and prospective accounts to build and maintain business relationships
Coordinate the demonstration or presentation of products and discuss applications, using samples or marketing material, emphasizing salable features based on price or value to benefit customer's business operations
Utilize and apply customer profitability and pricing models to negotiate customer agreements
Report monthly to leadership team regarding current and potential customer activities and developments
Create and review monthly reports to include customer KPI, locked-in-pricing and proprietary items lists
Manage credit terms within established parameters created by the finance department and direct collection of accounts receivable to manage credit relationship with customers
Provide direct line of communication with the US National Chain support departments and Regional Chain Support Manager
Participate in training the Customer Development Specialist and Associates to ensure their understanding of the Regional Chain Manager's role and of key customer relationships

Requirements:

Excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment
Strong negotiation, customer service focus, strategic thinking, inquisitive, innovative and creative skills to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices
Ability to understand and utilize market research and P&L statements
Ability to travel to different locations
