Job Summary:

Florim Solution, Inc. is seeking a skilled Production/Machine Operator to join our team in the tile manufacturing industry. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring high-quality tile production, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence:
    • Conduct thorough setup and operation inspections of machinery to ensure proper setup and functionality.
    • Monitor production operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.
    • Ensure product quality by checking products for quality and adhering to quality standards.
    • Maintain machinery standards by ensuring machinery is maintained according to company standards.
  • Mechanical Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery in good condition.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
    • Lubricate and clean machinery to prevent wear and tear.
  • Efficiency and Productivity:
    • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to maximize productivity.
    • Complete product changes promptly to minimize downtime.
    • Perform loading and unloading tasks efficiently to support production processes.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Record material transfers to document the movement of materials between different stages of production.
    • Report equipment discrepancies to notify supervisors of any irregularities or malfunctions in machinery.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Wear required safety equipment to protect oneself from workplace hazards.
    • Complete safety training to enhance awareness and knowledge.
    • Ensure a safe workplace environment by promoting safety practices and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required for all positions.
  • Mathematical Ability: Proficiency in basic math skills, including decimals and fractions.
  • Mechanical Experience: Prior experience in mechanical tasks or machinery operation is a plus.
  • Forklift Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential for meticulously inspecting product quality.
  • Safety Consciousness: Commitment to upholding safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the duration of the shift, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Clean-Shaven Face: In adherence to OSHA guidelines, candidates are required to wear tight-fitting face masks to reduce the risk of silica dust exposure. For the cutting line role, it is imperative to maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure optimal sealing of the masks.
  • Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines and goals.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: Starting pay rate ranging from $18.70 to $19.70 per hour, with a Night Shift Differential of $2.00.
  • Benefits Package: Comprehensive benefits package, including benefits starting on the hire date, free employee medical insurance with annual physical, discounted dental/vision and other insurance packages, 401(k) with company match, 2 weeks paid vacation and 9 paid holidays, tuition assistance (available after one year), and employee discounts on tile.
