Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Development: Design comprehensive electrical systems for photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects from initial concept through to the final design phase.
  • Utility Coordination: Oversee and facilitate the interconnection process with utility companies and grid operators, ensuring a smooth transition from application to commercial operation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all electrical designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulatory mandates.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with project management teams to establish and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical engineering functions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with electrical systems and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality assurance measures to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting Support: Provide assistance in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues during both the construction and operational phases of projects.
  • Technical Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics, specifications, and comprehensive technical reports.
  • Innovation and Trends: Remain informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance project efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer, ideally within the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
  • Familiarity with design/build construction practices.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess the financial implications of engineering decisions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD and PVsyst, along with Microsoft Office applications.
