The Salvation Army Northwest Division is seeking a highly skilled Family Visitations Coordinator to join our team in Spokane. This part-time, non-exempt position requires flexibility, willingness to work varied hours, and occasional Saturdays.
About the RoleThis position involves providing supervision for visits between children and their parents at The Salvation Army, ensuring a safe, friendly, and secure environment. Successful candidates will have 12 months of experience caring for or supervising children and hold a high school diploma or GED.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise visitation services between DCFS referred children and their parents/relatives or siblings and private/civil cases
- Monitor interactions and intervene when necessary
- Carefully document each visitation using required forms and communicate with all parties
- Process paperwork within required time frames
- Perform basic clerical duties, including filing, typing, copying, faxing, and making phone calls
- Communicate effectively with department staff, agency staff, and outside agencies as needed
- 12 months of experience caring for or supervising children
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
- Able to successfully pass a DCYF and Salvation Army criminal background check
- Knowledgeable in client safety assessment and planning, problem-solving, and crisis intervention
We offer an estimated salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
