Goldfish Swim School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our swim schools in Yorktown Heights, New Rochelle, or Yonkers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and control the daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School's standard operating procedures.
- Manage a team of staff members, including swim instructors, lifeguards, and customer service representatives, to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
- Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
- Interact with deck supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
- Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
- Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the Goldfish Swim School facility.
- Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
- Schedule staff and manage payroll.
- College degree required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent is desired.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is ideal and will be required for the position.
- Problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales tracking.
- Experience with payroll systems and employee scheduling software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

Goldfish Swim School is a learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Our proven confidence-building curriculum promotes a love of swimming and teaches children to be safer in and around the water.
