Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Instrument Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer Level II, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing clinical laboratory analyzers and other products sold by our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs on clinical laboratory instruments from manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, and Thermo Scientific.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex issues related to analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and automated systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize instrument performance.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, resolve technical issues efficiently, and educate users on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA) during service activities and participate in proficiency testing and quality control procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing clinical laboratory analyzers.
  • Skills: Proficiency with instrument models from specified manufacturers, certification as a Clinical Laboratory Instrument Technician (CLIT) preferred, and proficient user of Microsoft Office.
  • Travel: Up to 75% travel through designated area with periodic overnights.
  • Relocation: Current residency within the designated area. Relocation assistance is not available.
