MRI Imaging Specialist

Shift Details:

  • Hourly, Daytime, Every other weekend, 4 hours per week

Under the supervision of the Director of Radiology/Imaging, the MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI examinations with a focus on patient care and safety. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing established MRI imaging protocols
  • Preparing and positioning patients effectively for MRI scans
  • Processing and developing imaging results according to standard procedures
  • Providing care and assessment for patients across all age demographics
  • Ensuring patient safety and engaging family members in the care process
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Assisting in the upkeep of accurate patient and operational documentation

Qualifications:

  • Registered with ARRT or ARMRIT as an MR technologist
  • Minimum of 6 months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience
  • Understanding of transverse anatomy and proper body mechanics
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
