Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Manager and Patient Advocate to join our team at Healthcare Office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct patients to the appropriate staff member.
  • Document patient information, including demographic, insurance, and financial data.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, appointments, and referrals.
  • Manage the daily appointment schedule, including preparing charts and paperwork.
  • Collect coinsurance and co-pays from patients.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, practitioners, and staff members.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient medical records.
  • Resolve patient complaints and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, and copying documents.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
  • Experience with medical billing and coding.
  • Knowledge of medical office software and systems.
