Surgical Technologist PRN

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter.
- Champion PCMC's mission, vision, and values, complying with policies and procedures, ethical standards, and code of conduct.
- Obtain and prepare sterile and unsterile items needed for procedures, setting up the Operating Room Suite with the correct equipment and safety items.
- Perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision closure.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including growing and gloving the surgeon and assistants, passing instruments and supplies, and anticipating additional supplies needed.
- Keep accurate records throughout the procedure and ensure correct labeling and handling of surgical specimens and medicine.
- Secure dressings after incision closure and help transport patients to the recovery room.
- Prepare instruments for cleaning and reprocessing, assist in cleaning the room, and prepare for the next patient.
- Perform special assignments, such as ordering supplies, inventory functions, equipment, instrument care, and maintenance.
- One or more years of experience as an OR Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Membership in the CST association preferred.
- Current CPR certification as a Basic Rescuer is a must.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- CST certification preferred, to perform as a Surgical First Assistant must have a Certification as a CSFA Certified Surgical First Assistant.
