Surgical OR Technician PRN Non-Certified

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical OR Technician PRN Non-Certified to join our team at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. As a Surgical OR Technician PRN Non-Certified, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service and patient care, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every interaction.
- Champion HCA Florida Putnam Hospital's mission, vision, and values, adhering to policies, procedures, ethical standards, and code of conduct.
- Obtain and prepare sterile and unsterile items for procedures, setting up the operating room suite with the necessary equipment and supplies.
- Perform accurate counts with the circulator before and after procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including draping the sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and anticipating additional needs during the procedure.
- Keep accurate records throughout the procedure, ensuring correct labeling and handling of surgical specimens and medications.
- Secure dressings after incision closure, transport patients to the recovery room, and prepare instruments for cleaning and reprocessing.
- Perform special assignments, such as ordering supplies, inventory functions, equipment, instrument care, and maintenance, as outlined by the Director.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- One or more years of education through graduation from a CST or ST program, or on-the-job training in the role of the ST.
- One or more years of experience as an OR Surgical Technologist, with membership in the CST association preferred.
