Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee culinary production operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
  • Act as the department head for culinary operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines for safe and sanitary food production and presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning, inventory management, purchasing, food cost control, sanitation, and personnel management, including hiring and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certification, along with three to five years of culinary experience.
  • Two to five years of experience in culinary or kitchen management, based on formal education or training.
  • Experience in catering services.
  • Familiarity with food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, and cost control.
  • Experience in batch cooking or high-volume food preparation.
  • Background in food production for large catering or banquet events.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
