Job Description

BAMCO Inc. is a leading industry leader in the design, manufacture, and erection of building envelope systems, serving the architectural, developer, and general contracting communities.

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Estimators, Preconstruction team, and Sales team to review project plans, requirements, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform take-offs of construction projects using architectural drawings and Bluebeam software.
  • Communicate with customers to determine scope of work and requirements.
  • Assist the sales team in reviewing scope of work and providing estimates.
  • Solicit vendor pricing and collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience establishing guidelines in these areas.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others.

  • Construction estimator aptitude in the architectural metal industry.
  • Knowledge of reading architectural drawings and Bluebeam software.
