About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Advanced Technology Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our factory equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance on factory equipment and systems.
  • Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
  • Independently perform maintenance tasks as per industry standards.
  • Set up and operate multiple machining operations, including lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools, to make and repair parts.
  • Perform welding tasks as required.
  • Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Drive and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, including process improvements, results, and cost savings.
  • Update records and review Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) history.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
  • Assist lower-level technicians and leadership to small teams, performing more advanced functions as part of training and development.
  • Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
  • Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines, demonstrating situational awareness and identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry, or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, with the ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
  • May be required to travel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
