Business Development Specialist for Home Improvement

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist for Home Improvement to join our team in driving top-line sales growth of SW branded paint, stain, and associated products. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing business relationships with target professional customers (70-80% of time spent). Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and nurture business relationships with Key, Opportunity, New, Existing and Prospect accounts
- Cultivate leads, qualify prospects, schedule and perform outside sales calls with customers both in-store and on-site
- Engaging in value-added business meetings with Key Decision Makers (Pro Desk employees, Store Manager, Paint Department Supervisor, etc) at each store visit
- Effectively implement and leverage Sales Excellence initiatives including 7-step Sales Cycle, relevant customer dashboards and CRM lead programs
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years sales/marketing/customer service experience and the ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends with up to 9 Saturdays per year. Previous experience selling through Big-box and/or home improvement channel is preferred.
Salary and BenefitsOur salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
