Mission Regional Medical Center is a recognized, not-for-profit healthcare institution.
With a capacity of 227 beds, this community hospital specializes in various medical fields including emergency services, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound management, surgical procedures, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology.
As the sole acute care hospital in the region, it also serves as the only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery.
For over 60 years, Mission Regional Medical Center has been committed to delivering quality and compassionate healthcare to the community. The medical staff comprises over 300 physicians, and the center is one of the largest employers in the area, with a workforce exceeding 450 individuals.

Responsibilities
The Obstetric Registered Nurse is accountable for providing safe patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
This role involves delivering direct patient care within the defined scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also plays a crucial role in guiding patient and family education, as well as overseeing the activities of other nursing staff while upholding care standards in the maternity unit.
Quick and accurate responses to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses are essential. The Registered Nurse ensures a secure environment for both patients and visitors.
Utilization of the chain of command is expected when necessary to guarantee patient safety and the appropriateness of care for mothers and newborns during the antepartum and postpartum phases.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is also required upon hire and must be kept current. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
